Back to Jackson's Jig (6)


JACKSON'S JIG [6]. Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. George Petrie collected and printed the tune as "Housemaid (2) (The)." The melody belongs to the "Geese in the Bog (1)" family of tunes, to which also belong the 'Jackson' named tunes "Jackson's Coola," "Jackson's Walk to Limerick" and "Jackson's Trip to Limerick."
