JULIA CLIFFORD'S SLIDE [1]. AKA and see "Dark Girl Dressed in Blue (4) (The)," "Denis Murphy's Slide (1)," "Girl in the Dress (The)," "Gleanntán Slide (The)," "Napoleon Crossing the Alps (2)," "Pádraig O'Keeffe's Slide (1)." Irish, Slide (12/8 time). Ireland, Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune is named for east Kerry fiddler Julia Clifford (d. 1997), sister of fiddler Denis Murphy and daughter of Tom Billy Murphy (1879-1944).
