Back to Keep It Up (1)
KEEP IT UP [1] (As a thoiseach). AKA and see "As a Thoiseach." Scottish, Pipe Reel. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Fraser): AAB (Hardie). The tune is subtitled "Be Off Mackintosh!," and is credited to Captain Simon Fraser by MacDonald in the Skye Collection (1887). See note under "Talk:As a Thoiseach." The piece is played un-slurred, with a distinct bow stroke for each note. It has some popularity among Cape Breton musicians.
