BENNETT'S FAVORITE. AKA - "Bennett's Reel." AKA and see "Betty Pringle's Pig," "Great Eastern Reel (1)," "John Brennan's Reel (1)," "North End Reel," "Silver Spire (The)." American, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning. AABB. The reel is popular by several titles in several genres and regions. Although it may have Irish origins, the reel has been disseminated as "Bennett's Favorite" in North America (including Cape Breton) through the Ryan's/Cole's publications.
