Back to Dublin Boys (The)
DUBLIN BOYS, THE. AKA and see "Dublin Streets," "Fig for a Kiss (1)," "Gliogar an Mheadair," "The Gurling of the Churn," "Old Dutch Churn (The)," "Milk the Churn," "The Splashing of the Churn [2]," "Humours of Bottle Hill," "The Night of the Fun [2]," "She is fit for a kiss," "Two in a Gig." Irish, Slip Jig. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The name Dublin is derived from the Gaelic dubh linne, or 'the black pool'. Ryan also prints the tune under the title "Night of Fun," points out Paul de Grae, who says the tunes are in fact a combination of the 'A' part of "Fig for a Kiss" with the 'B' part of "Dublin Streets."
