Back to Duncan on the Plainstones
DUNCAN ON THE PLAINSTONES (Elgin). Scottish, Reel. D Major/ D Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Carlin): AAB (Skye). Composed by J. Scott Skinner (1848-1927). Perhaps the title refers to a Scottish dancer. Skinner himself was a dancing master in his younger days.
