FIDDLER'S DRUNK AND THE FUN'S ALL OVER. AKA and see "Billy in the Lowground (1)." Old-Time, Breakdown. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). Commonly identified as a version of "Billy in the Lowground" from the repertoire of Glen Lyn, Virginia, fiddler Henry Reed. However, if a version of "Billy", then it is quite distanced, with the similarities being the relatively rare key of 'C' and the motion up the 'C' chord starting at the low tonic in the beginning measures.

Source for notated version: Henry Reed (1884-1968, Glen Lyn, Va.)

Printed sources:

Recorded sources: Kanawha 311, Hollow Rock String Band - "Traditional Dance Tunes" (1968).
