Back to Fifer's Delight (The)
FIFER'S DELIGHT, THE. AKA and see "Beer and Ale and Brandy", "Bundle and Go (6)." American, Jig or March (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This 6/8 melody appears in "A. Shattuck's Book," a music manuscript commonplace book compiled by Abel Shattuck(1759-1816) of Colrain, Massachusetts, supplemented by Park Shattuck. It was compiled around the year 1800. There are other, different, tunes with the same title. See also Irish versions of the tune under the alternate titles above.
