MR. STEWART OLIPHANT OF ROSSIE. Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in Malcolm McDonald's c. 1792 3rd collection, dedicated to Miss Drummond of Perth. Under the title "Mrs. Stewart's Reel" the tune was printed in Tracy's selection of present favorite country dances, a small volume published in Dublin in the 1790's by a dancing master named Tracy.
