Back to Huish the Cat
HUISH THE CAT (Huis/Uis an Cat). AKA and see "Bímíd ag Ól (1)," "Drive the Cat from Under the Table," "Hush the Cat from Under the Table," "Jackson's Humours of Panteen," "Whip the Cat from Under the Table." Irish, Single Jig. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Huish the Cat" is the title Irish musician and collector Edward Bunting (1773–1843) gave in his third collection (Ancient Music of Ireland, 1840). See also a slide version as "Where's the Cat" and the double jig "Bímíd ag Ól (1)."
