'''RIDING A MILE [1]'''.
<br>
The ‘B’ part has some similarity to the ‘A’ part of “Up and Down Again,” and thus appears related to the “Mad Moll” family of tunes stemming from Playford’s Dancing Master of 1698. O’Farrell’s first two parts correspond with those of the abc’s given below, although the parts are reversed.

Source for notated version: the c. 1845-47 music manuscript collection of Ellis Knowles, a musician from Radcliffe, Lancashire, England [Plain Brown]. O’Farrell (Pocket Companion, vol. II), c. 1806; pg. 115 (appears as “Ride a Mile”). O'Neill (Krassen), 1976; pg. 85 (appears as "Riding a Mule"). Plain Brown Tune Book, 1997; pg. 21.
