IF I HAD A WIFE [1] (Dá mBeadh Bean Agam). AKA and see "Mick Mahony's (1)." Irish, Slide (12/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'CC (Moylan): AABB'CC' (Breathnach). Editor Moylan (1994) states that this is not the usual tune associated with the rhyme "If I Had a Wife" (for which see "If I Had a Wife (2)"). Printed sources: Breathnach (CRÉ III), 1985; No. 41, p. 20. Moylan (Johnny O'Leary), 1994; No. 90.

Recorded sources: Mulligan Records LUN 039, Kevin Burke & Jackie Daly - "Eavesdropper" (1981). RTE CE174, "The Sliabh Luachra Fiddle Master Padraig O'Keeffe." Topic 12T357, Johnny O'Leary - "Music for the Set" (1977).
