GALLAGHER'S FROLIC [3]. AKA and see "Banner (The)," "Golliher's Frolic," "O'Gallagher's Frolics." Irish, Jig. E Dorian. Standard tuning. AABB. A variant of version #1 and a favorite session tune. O'Neill thought the tune "closely resembled" his printings of "Frieze Breeches (1)/Frieze Britches (1)" and the air "I Buried My Wife and Danced on Top of Her."

Source for notated version: Martin Mulhare, recalled from his playing with the original Tulla Céili Band [Black]; Sligo fiddler Joe O'Dowd, collected by Dr. Edward O. Henry in 1984 [Miller, Treoir].
