CAPTAIN THOMPSON'S QUICK STEP. AKA and see "Adam Bell's March." G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). The melody appears in the music manuscript collection begun by Thomas Nixon, a fifer from Danbury, Connecticut, at the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. The same tune is printed in The American Veteran Fifer (1905) under the title "Adam Bell's March."
