DIXON'S SLIDE. AKA and see "Boss Clog Hornpipe (The)."American, Dance Tune. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was printed by Elias Howe in 1867 as "The Boss Clog Hornpipe" (see note for that tune for further info.). See also "Dixon's Reel" in the music manuscript collection of Clinton W.
