JAMES LEE'S FAVORITE. AKA and see "My Dog Dies." American, Dance Tune (2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning. ABA. This melody is labeled a 'jig' in Ryan's Mammoth, meaning not the Irish 6/8 time jig, but rather a type of syncopated old time banjo tune often the vehicle for a type of clog dance and known as a "straight" or "sand" jig (as it was performed on a sanded stage).
