The tune was composed by Donegal fiddler Tommy Peoples, named in honor of his daughter. Boston button accordionist Joe Derrane recorded an extremely similar two-part jig, "Papa's Joy," which he says he composed in the 1960's before he had ever heard Peoples' tune.
