"Reel du semeur" was recorded by Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard (1873-1947) in 1929 for Victor records under the title "Reel de semeur" (Sower's Reel), and re-recorded by him in 1936 albeit on the recording (Bluebird B-4911-A) he is credited under a pseudonym, 'Maxime Touin'. Pascal Gemme of the group Genticorum says this tune is a popular accordion melody.
