"Reel du semeur" (Sower's Reel) was recorded by Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard (1873-1947) in 1929 for Victor records and was re-released on Victor's Bluebird label (B-4911-A) in 1936 as "Reel des bottes sauvages." On the latter where he is credited under a pseudonym, 'Maxime Touin'. Fiddler Pascal Gemme says this tune is a popular accordion melody.
