RICHMOND COTILLION [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Virginia. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.
Emmett Lundy
This tune, which is unrelated to “Richmond Cotillion (1),” was played by Dalhart (near Galax), Grayson County, southwest Virginia, fiddler Emmett Lundy (1864-1953) and recorded for the Library of Congress in 1941. It was perhaps miss-named on the recording, and no one has to date discovered what the original title might have been.
