RICHMOND COTILLION [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Virginia. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This tune, which is unrelated to “Richmond Cotillion (1),” was played by Dalhart (near Galax), Grayson County, southwest Virginia, fiddler Emmett Lundy (1864-1953) and recorded for the Library of Congress in 1941. It was probably miss-named on the recording, and to date no one has discovered what the original title might have been. Some call it "Emmett Lundy's Cotillion" or "Lundy's Cotillion" as a result.
