Back to Halkirk Games (The)


HALKIRK GAMES, THE. Scottish, Jig. B Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. Composed by Scottish three-row button accordion player Sandy Coghill, in honor of the yearly Halkirk Highland Games held in the village of Halkirk, Caithness, northern Scotland. Coghill was a member of the Wallochmor Ceilidh Band, along with ex-Silly Wizard member and piano accordion player Freeland Barbour.
