EASTERN TOWNSHIP WALTZ, THE. Canadian, Waltz. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB'. The Eastern Townships region is in southeast Quebec Province, below the St. Lawrence River and was largely settled by the pioneers from the British Isles in the early 1800's though now is populated predominently by French-Canadians.
