FRANKLIN COUNTY BLUES. Old-Time, Breakdown. Source group the Dixie Ramblers was from Russellville, Alabama, in the northwestern part of the state. The four-piece band released four instrumental sides, recorded in Birmingham in 1937 (their vocal numbers were rejected). See also the Stripling Brothers' "Pallet on the Floor."
