The march was originally published in James Oswald's Fifty-Five Marches for the Militia, published in London in 1759. It was also published in Longman, Lukey & Co.'s A Fourth Collection of Twenty Four Favorite Marches In 5 Parts (London, 1770), and, in America, in Thomas Ball's Gentleman's Amusement Book 1 (1815, p. 28).
