MILKMAID'S BOB, THE. AKA - "Milke-Mayd's Bobb (The)." English, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The melody and country dance steps appear in John Playford's The English Dancing Master [1] (1651), and were retained in the long-running series through the 10th edition of 1698.
