MR. GEORGE JENKIN’S SCOTTISH MEASURE. Scottish, Scots Measure. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831). There was a London composer and dancing master named George Jenkins (perhaps an expatriate Scot) who issued a collection called Slow Airs, Strathspeys, Quick Reels, Country Dances and a Medley in 1793 or 1794.
