POLLY ANN. AKA and see "Pretty Polly Ann" (?). American, Reel (cut time). A Major. AEac# tuning (fiddle). AABB. A tune called "Polly Ann" was in the repertory of Alabama fiddler Monkey Brown (1897-1972). It was also listed in the Northwest Alabamian of August 29, 1929, as one of the tunes likely to be played at an upcoming fiddlers' convention (Cauthen, 1990).
