REEL DE PÈRE LÉON. AKA “Pere Leon.” French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Songer): AB (Silberberg). A reel from the repertoire of La famille Soucy, named for Pierre-Léon Cantin, who played the piece. Guitarist and singer Gilles Cantin, a member of the groups Hommage aux aînés and La Bottine Souriante (from 1977-1981), was his son.
