YOUNG ROGER [2]. English, Country Dance tune (9/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The melody and dance instructions were published by Walsh & Randall in The New Country Dancing Master, 2nd Book and in John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master in the same year, 1710. The tune and dance were retained in all four editions of Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master, through the fourth edition of 1728. It also was printed in Walsh & Hare's The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (1719).
