ZEALAND. AKA and see "Noint the Teazer." English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune and dance instructions ("Longways for as many as will") under the "Zealand" title appears in the Third Volume of the Dancing Master [1], 2nd edition (p. 192), published in London by John Young in 1726. However, as "Noint the Teazer" it was printed by London publisher John Walsh Twenty Four New Country Dances for the Year 1714 (p. 13), by John Young in the Second Volume of the Dancing Master (third and fourth editions of 1718 and 1728), and by John Walsh in The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master (editions of 1719, 1736 & 1749).
