BESIDE THE RIVER (Cois Abhann). Irish, Air. A Dorian (Joyce): D Minor (Goodman). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Mr. Pigot took this down from O'Neill (a piper) of Tipperary" (Joyce). The tune also appears in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of Canon James Goodman (County Cork).
