CARRICKMACROSS. Irish, Air (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Joyce identifies Carrickmacross as a placemname in County Monaghan. The tune is in the earlier Edward Pigot Collection, contained in Joyce's Old Irish Folk Music and Songs (1909). Related to O'Neill's "Paddy in London (1)" and Goodman's "Paddy from Cork."
