DANSE ÉCOSSAISE. AKA and see "Miss Sarah Drummond of Perth (1)," "Reel écossais (La)." French-Canadian, Strathspey. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune, originally a Scottish strathspey called "Miss Drummond of Perth (1)," was recorded by Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard in 1928 for Victor as "Reel écossais (La)." It was re-released on the Bluebird label in 1946 as "Danse écossaise."
