INVERCAULLD'S/INVERCAULD'S REEL. AKA and see "O Tibby I hae seen the day." Scottish, Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Alburger): AABB (Petrie). Invercauld House, a baronial mansion in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, built on the site of an older castle, is the seat of Clan Farquharson. Musically, the tune is pentatonic or hexatonic, except for grace notes. The second strain of "Invercauld's Reel" is the same as the first strain of "John R. Fraser." See also strathspeys that go by the same title, "Invercauld (1)" and "Invercauld (2)."
