Irish, Hornpipe; American, Reel. USA, West Virginia. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Mallinson, Phillips, O'Neill, Taylor, Tubridy): AA'BB' (Moylan). The first half of this tune appears in Bayard (1981) as the first parts of an untitled "Square Dance" (No. 537, p. 477-478) and "Sugar in the Gourd" (No. 355, p. 354; a floating title). See also note for "Smith's Reel" or "Smith's Delight" for more, especially as played on Cape Breton.
