MISS STEWART BUN RANNOCH. AKA - "Mrs. Stewart Bun Rannoch." AKA and see “Ciorsdan Mhór.” Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Bun Rannoch near Loch-Rannoch, Perthshire, was the residence of Allan Stewart, Esq., at the time McKercher published his collection in 1824. Fiddler-composer Duncan McKercher originally published the reel as "Mrs. Stewart, Bun Rannoch," presumably Allan's wife, but sometime in mid-century the title devolved to "Miss" from "Mrs.".
