REEL DES SUCRES [2]. French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. "Reel des sucres (2)" (Sugaring Reel) was recorded by Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard (1865-1947). Allard recorded another "Reel des sucres (1)" for Victor in 1934, a 6/8 tune known among contra dance musicians as "Portland Fancy (1)."
