RUSHY MOUNTAIN, THE (Sliab Luacra). Irish, Air (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Sliabh Luacra (the Rushy Mountain) is a region in south western Ireland on the Cork-Kerry border. The tune, however, is not associated with the region but rather is a version of "Lass of Richmond Hill (The)," a popular song with music by the popular songwriter James Hook (1746-1827) to words by Leonard McNally (1752-1820).
