SAILOR DON. Canadian, Jig (6/8 time). Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by miner, fiddler and composer Dougie MacDonald (1968-2009). Legendary Cape Breton fiddler-composer Dan Hughie MacEachern was MacDonald's neighbor, mentor and close family friend when he was a child in the Queensville, Inverness County, area of the island.
