TOM COME TICKLE ME. Scottish, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The melody appears as a country dance tune in Scottish musician and dancing master David Young's MacFarlane Manuscript (c. 1740). Compare with the family of Irish tunes that includes "Trip to Sligo (1)." See also the similarly titled "annotation:Tommy Come Tickle Me," collected in southwestern Pennsylvania.
