Like all of the tunes from Thomas Davis's 1748 collection, the tune was reprinted by London publisher John Johnson in his Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 5 (1750), where it is credited to Davis. It also can be found in John Walsh's Caledonian Country Dances.
