A reel from the Sliabh Luachra region of the Cork-Kerry border, associated with the playing of fiddlers Dennis Murphy and Julia Clifford.  The first strain (but not the second) is shared with "[[Lisheen Reel (1)]]," and, rhythmically altered, "[[Sharon Shannon's Slide]]." Source Johnny O'Leary usually paired this tune with "[[Johnny When You Die (1)]]," calling the pair "The Sliabh Luachra Reels."  See also "[[Lisheen Reel (2) (The)]]" (Ríl an Lisín).
