INVER RACES, THE. AKA and see "Fantastic Reel (The)." Irish, Reel. Recorded by renowned Donegal fiddler John Doherty as "Fantastic Reel (The)." The "Inver Races" title for the tune appears in Danny noted that the reel played by John Doherty and recorded as "The Fantastic Reel" appears in the "O'Beirne De Witt sponsored melodean collection in Boston", where it seems to have been introduced by John McGrath, according to Caoimhin Mac Aoidh [1]
