DERMOT McLAUGHLIN'S. AKA and see "Connolly's Barndance." Irish, Barndance. G Major ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune appears in Feldman & O'Doherty's Northern Fiddler (1979, p. 109) as an untitled barndance collected from the playing of Donegal fiddler Simon Doherty. Dermot McLaughlin is a fiddler originally from Derry who immersed himself in Donegal culture and music in the early 1980's, and who has tirelessly promoted and preserved the fiddle tradition of the region.
