DROP OF DRAM, THE. AKA and see "Jack the Jolly Ploughboy," "Jolly Plowman (2)." Irish, Air (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune is in a common song form, AABA, in which the first strain melodic material is repeated, and second half of the second strain returns to the first strain material.
