ENCHANTED VALLEY [1] (An Gleann Draoideacta). Irish, "Very Slow" Air (2/4 time). G Dorian (O'Neill): E Minor (Stanford/Petrie). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Stanford (1902) notes this is a variant of "Oh Fair John My Love."

Source for notated version: "set from Mary O'Malley, Arran More, Sept 9th, 1857 [Stanford/Petrie]; J. O'Neill [O'Neill], referring to Chicago Police Sergeant and fiddler James O'Neill, originally from County Down, who was Francis O'Niell's collaborator on his earlier volumes.
