Back to Fahy's Reel (4)


FAHY'S REEL [4]. AKA and see "Banks of the Ilen (The)." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. A miss-title--the tune is only called "Fahy's" in Bernard Flaherty's book, and is not called "Fahy's" in any other context. Also, the tune in Flaherty's volume is erroneously barred, with the down beat beginning on what are usually the two pick-up notes of the "Banks of the Ilen."
