Back to German Nice
GERMAN NICE. AKA and see "Giornovichi," "Jarnovich's Reel." English, Polka. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABA. See note for "Talk:Giornovichi" and "Talk:Jarnovich's Reel." "German Nice" was undoubtedly a miss-hearing of the "Giornovichi" title.
Source for notated version: The melody is contained in the Joseph Kershaw manuscript. Kershaw was a fiddler who lived in Slackcote, Saddleworth, North West England, in the 19th century, and his manuscript dates from around 1820 onwards.
