GLORY OF THE NORTH. English, Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). C Major (Chappell): F Major (Plain Brown). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The air appears in John Playford's Musick's Recreation on the Lyra-Viol (1652), Playford's Musick's Delight on the Cithren (1666), Elizabeth Rogers' Virginal Book, and Hawkins' Transcripts.
